Don’t worry! it’s not another laborious singer-songwriter
There is no obsession with Damien Rice, James Morrison or
David Gray here!
No slit your wrist complaining, or pathetic love lost songs,
No Dylan-esque copycatting, No Pretentious Poetry and definitely no Bono loving.
Just down to earth gutbucket dirt and soulful originals (well, maybe the odd tasteful cover here and there)
Vulnerable Things front-man GP Bennett is now taking his songs onto a solo circuit. Approaching audiences with that same anger and humour that has made VT a popular live draw, but adding a more subtle approach when needed, with a wider range of styles and a vast repertoire.
With vocals described as a mixture between Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Dr John and Rick Danko (The Band), and self penned tunes about Alcohol addiction, small town frustration and narrow minded fools, GP spits out a show that will grab the attention.
You will either Love it or Hate it.
